How to Open A Forex Live Account ~ kishore forex trading strategies

Opening a live account in Forex can be a tedious task for beginners especially without a guide for the first time. Opening a demo account is quite easier due to the virtual nature of the account.

Most brokers adopt the same principle, and requirements for opening live accounts, except for some who request extra documents due to their country’s financial regulations, which demands more verification of the applicants identity for security purpose.

Before we go further lets consider an important checklist below.

CHECKLIST - What you need to verify before considering
opening an account with a broker.
  1. Is my country amongst the eligible countries allowed to open a Forex account with the broker?
  2. Does the broker allow payment options available in my countrys financial institution? Can I make withdrawals with the withdrawal options  being adopted by the broker?
  3. What are the fees required to deposit and withdraw from the broker and its custodian bank?
The checklist above is the first thing to consider before deciding to open a live account with a broker.

For now we’ll assume you must have decided on the broker you intend to open a live account with.

The steps below on how to open a live account can be applied to other Forex brokers.

Step 1. What kind of account should I open?

This is an important aspect you need to know before
opening a live account. There are three major kinds of Forex accounts available by all brokers. I’ll explain them to help you know, which account is appropriate for you.

• Micro account
This type of account is best for beginners in Forex. It is ideal for participants who have low capital to trade Forex. Very little risk is involved due to the micro nature of the account. The common leverage size is about 400:1, with a minimum of $100 opening balance.

• Standard account
This account is meant for traders with significant high capital than the micro account. Experience in Forex is a criteria to successfully trade with an account of this nature. The leverage involved here has a higher impact than the micro account. Most brokers usually request a minimum of $2,000 or $5,000 or as much as $10,000 to $50,000 to open a standard account. The common leverage size is about 100:1 with 100,000 trade size.

• Mini account
A mini account is an account appropriate for both beginners and experts in Forex. It has the capacity to control one tenth of a standard account (i.e. $10,000). It has a common leverage size of 200:1 with $500 or higher opening balance and 10,000 trade size.

It is important to note that the lot size varies according to each Forex broker. Apart from these common types of account, there are proprietary Forex account designed with unique features, and specific services.

Step 2: The Required Documents

It is very important to know the brokers required documentations. It would be a waste of time to fill the live account form and get to the documentation stage only to learn that a particular document cannot be produced or is not available in your locality or country.

The basic documentation most brokers would require are:

Proof of legal identification. Your national driver’s license or international passport are the best for this.
Proof of legal address. House rent receipts, and utility bills stating your house address are acceptable.
Bank statement. Not all brokers require this except for further verification purpose or alternatives.
Utility Bill Receipt. Some brokers require this to further verify your legal identity and proof of social responsibility.

Step 3: The Live Account Form (Individual Account)

The following details are usually required to be filled in the live account form online or offline.

Personal Information: Ensure that the information you state here matches with the details in your bank account. Information required here are the applicants Title, First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, e.t.c.
Contact Information: Your Email Address, Country, Phone Number, City, Street Name, Postal Zip Code, e.t.c.
Investor Information: Currency type, net worth outside your personal income, your annual income, employment status, your industry, e.t.c. Brokers require this information to advise you and indemnify themselves in case you do not meet the financial requirements to invest in Forex.
Trading knowledge: Your experience level in Forex, CFDs, Options, Futures, Stocks, e.t.c. Brokers use this information for advisory purpose.
You might be required to download a form containing risk disclaimer notice and other conditions of service or agreements for your signatory. After signing the form, scan it and email it back to the broker. This form serves as a consent form by the applicant indemnifying the broker.

All other documents should be scanned and sent to the broker as well. The broker will screen your application, and the documents submitted. You will be informed if your application is successful or not. If your application is successful, a confirmation message stating details of how to fund your account would be sent to you.

DEPOSITING FUNDS INTO THE LIVE ACCOUNT

The steps here vary from country to country but the principles are the same. The steps can be applied for other banks in other countries. We’ll assume you havealready downloaded the trading platform. The trading platform before now should be on a demo account or blank if it’s a new one. You don’t need to download another trading platform for a live account if you already have a demo account from the broker. When your application gets approved, you will be given details of the live server ip address and login details.

Step 4: Identify which deposit option is preferable for you.

Each deposit option comes with its attendant fees and hurdles. Some options are faster, some are costlier than others, while some are more secure. The credit card option is currently being banned by some financial  regulatory agencies as a deposit option. I personally will not recommend it. The bank wire option still remains the best and secured option to deposit and withdraw funds from your Forex account.

Step 5: Open a foreign account (domiciliary account)

This is required for wire transfer into the broker’s bank where your trading account would be credited from. If you already have one then skip this step.

Domiciliary account is an account that holds international currency usually in dollars, pounds, or euro. It allows you to make international transactions from your home country. You need to have a current account before you can open a domiciliary account.

The major requirements needed to open a domiciliary account are:
  1. Duly completed application form.
  2. Copies of acceptable means of identification (Drivers License, International passport, National I.D Card, and any other acceptable identification document deemed fit by the bank) Passport photograph.
  3. Two (2) duly completed and suitable reference forms.
  4. Utility bill issued within the last 3 months.

The account must be funded with the minimum deposit in the foreign currency to activate it for use.

Step 6: Get the required deposit currency

Most Forex brokers adopt the universal currency for deposits, which is the US Dollar. Other currency deposits like pounds or euro is also accepted. You need to convert your local fund (i.e. the funds you intend to deposit into your live account) into the deposit currency. You have to get the latest exchange rates before going to the currency market (i.e banks or bureau-de-change) else you might be short changed.  The total bank charge i.e your local bank’s fee and the broker’s bank fee should be added to the total amount you intend to purchase from the currency market for deposit into your live account. Most traders make the mistake of transferring only the capital needed to trade forex but later get lower figures in their live account because the banks would have taken their fees before crediting their Forex account. So inquire from the broker about the fees that will be deducted from the total deposit. Also inquire from your local bank about the necessary fees required to make a transfer.

Step 6: Get the broker’s bank account details (Wire Transfer)

This should have been sent to you after confirmation of your application. I strongly recommend you request for the broker’s bank account details from the broker’s account department. Take the account details to your bank and use it to fill the Foreign Transfer Account Form.

Wire transfer takes less than one (1) working business week or more to get credited to your trading account.

How I Trade The News Tools Setup Source Part 2 ~ good forex trading strategies

In the previous part i outlined some basic facts about News Trading, and the major currencies/investments that attracts investors, which drives the market.

This section reveals step by step guide on how i trade the news with sample illustrations. The first step is the introduction of some vital materials i use.

1st Step: Setup Materials
The charts below illustrates some tools i used to setup my chart to get prepared for news release.

The 1st picture shows a sample of my chart setup containing some tools that alerts me when a news is about to be released at a specified time configured by me. It also keeps me informed of upcoming and past news events. The setup also contains a dynamic Support & Resistance Indicator as well as a dynamic Pivot Point, which acts as a guide to help me study the psychology of the market and to locate the best places to place orders. The One Click Trading
One Click Trading
tool is also part of the chart setup. I use it to place quick order(s) during a quick counter retracement or to trade spike trade reversals.

Titans

The 2nd chart is a little different from the the 1st chart only for the news economic tool which displays the actual release on the chart. However the release is not as fast as other 3rd party news engine sources, so i rarely use it.

Other important resources:
1. Forex Factory
2. My personal News Calender on my blog.
3. Henry Lius pre-news analysis
4. News Trading EAs (I seldom use them)
5. Cable/Satelite Network (for live speeches, press release, interviews, e.t.c.)

2nd Step: Get Pre-News Release Schedule
I get this weekly from several sources to get me prepared adequately. When reviewing the news calendar or schedule for the week I put more interest on the impact and the time schedule. Getting this information on a Sunday before the beginning of the working week is the best. It helps me to plan adequately for the week or days ahead most especially for midnight news release due to my geographic location.
Apparently there are far lesser economic activities on Sundays around the World except in some Asian Markets.
Lookout for daily analysis of the news release hours or if possible a day before. Henry Lius pre news analysis is one of the best i can recommend. Apart from analyzing the expectations of the news release, they offer trade guidelines on the best pairs to trade.

High impact news are the best to trade. However their impact is still subject to amount of data released. So not all of them could be profitable. Therefore take the advise or guidelines of pre-news analysis from experts seriously.

3rd Step: Watch For Signs Prior To The News Release
Watch out for certain market signs that indicates the likeliness of a possible high impact or apparent closeness to a news release. See some of the signs below:

    - Narrow price movement extending for hours before the news release.

      - Pre-news reaction. In some cases there is a slight or consistent push in the market arising from traders sentiments towards the expected outcome of the news release. Be very careful with this sign. Its most often seen with an engulfing candle pattern.

        - A very slow or an abrupt halt in the market movement. It is what i call the market quiet time. This sign means the market participants (i.e. bulls/bears) are waiting earnestly or holding back for an important information, which would decide the long or short term direction of the market. Its one of the major positive sign of an upcoming news release with a very high impact. This sign helps me to detect which pairs are likely going to have a greater impact.

        - Inconsistent and continuous series of candle patterns (dojis, hammers, inverted hammers, kickers, e.t.c.). The inconsistent candle patterns is a display of the irrational reaction of the market to an upcoming news release.

        4th Step: Place Orders
100% BonusThis should be done systematically. You need to understand the signs, and market behavior before placing orders. There are cases where your orders would be triggered at the wrong time due to what i call tremor of the market (i.e. mini shocks before the real impact). So placing of orders is a dynamic thing. It might require constant modification until the news release.

News release accounts for a higher percentage of market volatility, and hence can cause irrational price feed lags, which results to error messages such as "Trade Context Busy", "Invalid SL/TP", "Requote", platform hang, e.t.c. More often traders blame their brokers for this but it is not entirely their fault. The steps presented here reveals a way out of this problem.

In the final part we will learn which pairs are the best to trade for a particular news release, and how to place orders and manage them.

Meanwhile i recommend looking up on our article: Forex Currency Pairs & How They Relate.

        Watch out for Part 3.

Kelly vs Markowitz Portfolio Optimization ~ examples of forex trading strategies

In my book, I described a very simple and elegant formula for determining the optimal asset allocation among N assets:

        F=C-1*M   (1)

where F is a Nx1 vector indicating the fraction of the equity to be allocated to each asset, C is the covariance matrix, and M is the mean vector for the excess returns of these assets. Note that these "assets" can in fact be "trading strategies" or "portfolios" themselves. If these are in fact real assets that incur a carry (financing) cost, then excess returns are returns minus the risk-free rate.

Notice that these fractions, or weights as they are usually called, are not normalized - they dont necessarily add up to 1. This means that F not only determines the allocation of the total equity among N assets, but it also determines the overall optimal leverage to be used. The sum of the absolute value of components of F divided by the total equity is in fact the overall leverage. Thus is the beauty of Kelly formula: optimal allocation and optimal leverage in one simple formula, which is supposed to maximize the compounded growth rate of ones equity (or equivalently the equity at the end of many periods).

However, most students of finance are not taught Kelly portfolio optimization. They are taught Markowitz mean-variance portfolio optimization. In particular, they are taught that there is a portfolio called the tangency portfolio which lies on the efficient frontier (the set of portfolios with minimum variance consistent with a certain expected return) and which maximizes the Sharpe ratio. Left unsaid are

        • Whats so good about this tangency portfolio?
        • Whats the real benefit of maximizing the Sharpe ratio?
        • Is this tangency portfolio the same as the one recommended by Kelly optimal allocation?
I want to answer these questions here, and provide a connection between Kelly and Markowitz portfolio optimization.

According to Kelly and Ed Thorp (and explained in my book), F above not only maximizes the compounded growth rate, but it also maximizes the Sharpe ratio. Put another way: the maximum growth rate is achieved when the Sharpe ratio is maximized. Hence we see why the tangency portfolio is so important. And in fact, the tangency portfolio is the same as the Kelly optimal portfolio F, except for that fact that the tangency portfolio is assumed to be normalized and has a leverage of 1 whereas F goes one step further and determines the optimal leverage for us. Otherwise, the percent allocation of an asset in both are the same (assuming that we havent imposed additional constraints in the optimization problem). How do we prove this?

The usual way Markowitz portfolio optimization is taught is by setting up a constrained quadratic optimization problem - quadratic because we want to optimize the portfolio variance which is a quadratic function of the weights of the underlying assets - and proceed to use a numerical quadratic programming (QP) program to solve this and then further maximize the Sharpe ratio to find the tangency portfolio. But this is unnecessarily tedious and actually obscures the elegant formula for F shown above. Instead, we can proceed by applying Lagrange multipliers to the following optimization problem (see http://faculty.washington.edu/ezivot/econ424/portfolioTheoryMatrix.pdf for a similar treatment):

        Maximize Sharpe ratio = FT*M/(FT*C*F)1/2    (2)

        subject to constraint FT*1=1   (3)

(to emphasize that the 1 on the left hand side is a column vector of ones, I used bold face.)

So we should maximize the following unconstrained quantity with respect to the weights Fof each asset i and the Lagrange multiplier ?:

        FT*M/(FT*C*F)1/2  - ?(FT*1-1)  (4)

But taking the partial derivatives of this fraction with a square root in the denominator is unwieldy. So equivalently, we can maximize the logarithm of the Sharpe ratio subject to the same constraint. Thus we can take the partial derivatives of

        log(FT*M)-(1/2)*log(FT*C*F)  - ?(FT*1-1)   (5)

with respect to Fi. Setting each component i to zero gives the matrix equation

        (1/FT*M)M-(1/FT*C*F)C*F=?1   (6)

Multiplying the whole equation by Fon the right gives

        (1/FT*M)FT*M-(1/FT*C*F)FT*C*F=?FT*1   (7)

Remembering the constraint, we recognize the right hand side as just ?. The left hand side comes out to be exactly zero, which means that ? is zero. A Lagrange multiplier that turns out to be zero means that the constraint wont affect the solution of the optimization problem up to a proportionality constant. This is satisfying since we know that if we apply an equal leverage on all the assets, the maximum Sharpe ratio should be unaffected. So we are left with the matrix equation for the solution of the optimal F:

        C*F=(FT*C*F/FT*M)M    (8)

If you know how to solve this for F using matrix algebra, I would like to hear from you. But lets try an ansatz F=C-1*M as in (1). The left hand side of (8) becomes M, the right hand side becomes (FT*M/FT*M)M = M as well. So the ansatz works, and the solution is in fact (1), up to a proportionality constant. To satisfy the normalization constraint (3), we can write

        F=C-1*M / (1T*C-1*M)  (9)

So there, the tangency portfolio is the same as the Kelly optimal portfolio, up to a normalization constant, and without telling us what the optimal leverage is.

Analiza săptămanală - forex trading platform for windows

Analiza săptămanală ~ forex trading platform for windows

        o eventual? pozi?ie long.
Mai mult BCE a retrogradat previziunile PIB ?i
CPI ?i a scos în eviden?? riscului privind posibila decelerare a infla?iei. BCE men?ine pozi?ia sa dovish care continua presiunea
Lira sterlin?
. Op?iunea noastr? pentru GBP/USD ramane long.

?i s? v? ofere momente de reflexie ?i analiz?.

Forex Trading Recap 30 November 56 Pips - forex trading strategies daily chart

Forex Trading Recap 30 November 56 Pips ~ forex trading strategies daily chart

Friday was without a doubt an extremely technical trading day.  Right from the beginning of the European morning we were seeing levels of support and resistance being highly respected.  By using this overall market context to inform our approach we were able to improve our trade selection and maximize our reward to risk.

Fridays can be a little hit and miss for trading which is generally why I tend to take a more conservative approach to end the week.  I almost always take less trades and try to focus my efforts on the opportunities I feel most confident in.  As you will see today it meant that I missed some potential winners but it also allowed me to avoid some losses and trade in a more calm and focused manner.

It doesnt really matter what method you use - trading well and with consistency means keeping an eye on the bigger picture and only taking those trades you feel truly comfortable with.  When you dont feel completely confident that you have an edge on a particular trade then it is generally best to pass on it and wait for something better to come along.  The market isnt going anywhere and there are always more quality trades to come, which means a little patience and selective trading can go a long ways for your consistency and overall trading results.

în spatele cererii ?i a ofertei?
Dac? vre?i este ca atunci cand conduci o ma?in?.
înve?i bazele analizei fundamentale ca ?i bazele analizei tehnice.
Spuneam c? dup? finalizarea corec?iei (pan? pe unghiul median Jenkins) vom c?uta s? intr?m într-o pozi?ie long.
Dup? cum pute?i vedea în grafic avem introduse dou? instrumente pitchfork.
R?manem long în free trade.

?i ne preg?tim pentru închiderea ei ?i deschiderea unei pozi?ii long.
